Analog input with decent ADC, digital input, subwoofer filter (for 2.1), plays all the major services without yet another app, no computer needed as a server, plugs into AC directly, quiet (no fan), coax SPDIF output built-in, Bluetooth receiver built-in and selectable without touching it.... Actually, the remote control alone, as an app on my phone, totally makes it worth while! This allows a truly "no touch" system when using Cherry Amplifiers that auto-sleep. Use your phone/computer/tablet to control everything, and the system can remain on 24/7, always ready to go! Add a Cherry DAC DAC and get DC coupling end-to-end (very rare to see this) and off-the-charts audio performance.

Quick access controls like play/pause, track skipping, and volume are available as touch panel controls at the top of the NODE, via voice assistants like Siri, Alexa, or Google Voice, or by programming your own IR remote or the optional Bluesound RC1. Advanced controls, including tone controls, subwoofer crossover optimization, and settings to enhance external DAC connections are available in the BluOS Controller app. The NODE can also be integrated into a smart home with full-feature drivers for Lutron, Elan, RTI, Crestron, and other popular home control systems.
